Verre Eglomise

Verre eglomise is experiencing a renaissance. It’s the artistic process of reverse painting and gilding on the backside of glass panels using a variety of real and metal leaf, metallic powders and paint, then viewing from the front. It’s versatile because the imagery can be contemporary or traditional, abstract or realistic.  It can be used for decorative door and cabinet panels, wall/mirror art, door numbers and signage.  The technique is inherently luminous, multilayered and reflective, thus making it instantly attractive for all viewers.
