Gilding

From 2013-2017, the Minnesota State Capitol building went through a major restoration.  Part of this involved regilding “The Progress of State” better known as the Quadriga, sculpted by Daniel Chester French and Edward Clark Potter.  I was honored to assist Jensen Conservation with the regilding of this historic work of art, using 24K gold leaf.

Gilding accents on furniture, frames and architecture adds an extra flare that makes one feel tingly and special.
